Long-time readers of my blog may have noticed that over the past year or so, I’ve been featuring fewer details in my wedding blog posts. I’ve realized that the core of what I try to do is really the combination of emotional moments and unique portraits, and I wanted to use my blog to better reflect that, rather than showing a dress shot or bouquet shot from every single wedding. That said, I still do LOVE to shoot details and make a point of capturing them as artfully as possible at every wedding. I thought it would be fun to showcase a few details from a shoot I worked on a few months ago. I was asked by Hilary Schwartz of Estera Events to capture a shoot she was asked to do by the wedding blog, Style Unveiled. Hilary drew inspiration from Anthropologie’s new line of wedding dresses, and she created such an incredible tablescape and dessert table. Hilary has a background in design, and you could truly tell with the amazing design she cooked up, full of fanciful elements and bold colors. Plus, she made carnations look beautiful, which is a feat of epic proportions in my book! We worked on this shoot at the wonderful Aeree Loft at Room 1520 in the West Loop. I adore this space and think it ticks all the boxes for a couple looking for a modern, clean space. I can’t wait to see more and more weddings there!
